Student from Shiv Nadar University Chennai wins at Saarang 2022

We are pleased to announce that Abhiramee Anandakumar a student from the B.Tech degree program of the Shiv Nadar University Chennai participated in Saarang 2022 in January 2022. This was the 27th edition of the annual cultural festival of IIT Madras consisting of various events ranging from quizzes to writing competitions.

She participated in the MANN Creative Writing Poetry Event conducted by the Writing Club of IITM and placed third from an array of entries. The participants were given three prompts to choose from all of which were related to MANN, Saarang’s social campaign to destigmatize mental health. With her prompt and form of poetry set as Villanelle, she bedazzled the IITM team and the judges with her poem “This Mind Believes Happiness Is Tempting”.

Our student has gained access to exciting publishing opportunities by having her work published in the upcoming edition of Youth Connect’s monthly newsletter. She will also be awarded a certificate and prize money for her well-deserved win. We are glad to mention that this publishing chance will allow our student to showcase her talents and capabilities all the while opening up new prospects to grow and learn
